‚ÄčIn mid-2008, Liddell Coal installed a new processing section in the CHPP and performed minor upgrades to the ROM receival and product coal facilities, enabling capacity to increase from 4.5 Mtpa to 8 Mtpa ROM coal.

The Coal Handling and Preparation Plant produces semi-soft coking coal and thermal product coal, which are placed separately on the product coal stockpile.

Up to 1.5 Mtpa of ROM coal can be received or delivered from, or to, the nearby Cumnock No.1 Colliery for washing and processing when spare capacity is available at either operation. This coal is trucked via a public and/or private section of Pikes Gully Road.
